Check Out Our
Glamping Tents
Our 10 glamping tents overlook the valley and river below. Each tent features a cozy queen bed, a couch that converts into bunk beds, and an above-ground firepit, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. The tents are nestled under additional canvas shades supported by sturdy wood poles, and you’ll find two Adirondack chairs outside each tent.
While our accommodations offer the luxury of glamping, please note it’s also akin to a backpacking adventure. Be sure to bring along essentials such as food, utensils, water, sheets or sleeping bags, firewood, flashlights, and toiletries. For the comfort of all guests, pets are not allowed and smoking or vaping inside the tents is prohibited.
Our glamping area is designed to maintain a natural, rural village ambiance. Access the tents via a footpath, either by climbing about 40 stairs or taking an easier ⅓ mile walk. An unimproved road is available for AWD SUVs, but it’s not suitable for standard cars or motorcycles.

WHOlives Research Center
Camping with Purpose
We established Bedrock Base Camp on our 160-acre rural land to house the WHOlives Research Center. This facility is designed to give inventors, humanitarians, engineers, and entrepreneurs a space to experiment and improve on their ideas to solve the persistent challenges people face in developing countries.
At the research camp, individuals can explore ideas and innovations in areas such as dry farming, housing, water collection, husbandry, electrical power, transportation — all free of charge. The WHOlives Research Center serves as a hub for college students, engineers, inventors, and everyday people who are passionate about creating solutions for the global good.
We also know that many great ideas come from everyday people. In that light, we encourage visitors to think creatively and outside the box about how they can make a positive impact in this world of ours.
Innovation is at our roots, as this is how WHOlives, an award-winning international nonprofit, was born. Our founder, an ordinary business owner with no engineering background, had an unexpected idea on how people could drill for water in developing countries. That idea created what is today called the Village Drill — a simple tool that has drilled over 14,000 water wells in over 40 countries, providing clean water to over 13,000,000 people in need.
Please join us as we anticipate your next great idea.

About Our Founder
John Renouard established the camp to support our efforts at WHOlives, the nonprofit he founded in 2010 to empower girls and women around the world. He’s helping to end child marriages, and the Village Drill that he invented has helped millions of people get access to clean water for the first time in their lives.
John hopes people will embrace the notion of “camping with purpose” during their visit to Bedrock.
